The seminars covered topics including social media, sports communication, crises communication, branding, agencies, entertainment, data analytics and more. These presentations were led by some of the nation’s top professionals representing organizations such as General Motors Company, Philadelphia 76ers, TV Guide Magazine, Hilton Worldwide, Warner Bros. Television, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies and Google Analytics.
PRSA general session keynote speaker Brian Solis, author and Altimeter Group principal analyst, was a highlight for the Otterbein students.
“His presentation was interesting, informative and really stood out to us,” said sophomore public relations and health communication major Adam Piccin.
As Piccin’s first PRSSA national conference, says it was a trip he will never forget.“In addition to enhancing my professional skills, I got to network with other PRSSA members across the nation, explore Philadelphia and spend quality time getting to know the other Otterbein PRSSA members.”
Next year’s conference will be held in Washington D.C. and is co-hosted by American University and the University of Maryland.
