What kinds of things do on an average day? Write stories, attend press conferences and other media events, film and edit video, interview OSU players and Coach Tressel
Of the skills you’ve acquired at Otterbein, which of those best prepared you for this job? Interviewing skills, journalistic writing, finding unique stories and working on a deadline
What’s the best thing about this internship? Being on the sidelines of all the OSU home games, meeting players and being one of the “media”
Have gotten to meet a lot of professionals/other interesting people? Yes, many different reporters from big media outlets such as the Big Ten Network, ESPN, CBS, Columbus Dispatch, 10TV and various other media sources. I’ve also gotten to meet all of the OSU players.
Would you recommend this internship to other students? Definitely! It improves your writing and gives you a once in a lifetime chance of attending some of Ohio State’s biggest football games.
